Growing And Maturing In The Will Of God

0.00

I am always excited at this scripture, it says you can GROW, MATURE, (STAND PERFECT) and COMPLETE in all the will of God. I mean ALL, not half way, three quarter way, but full hundred percent of the will of God! It means that everything that was willed to you can be yours especially here on earth after you:

  1. Know the will of God
  2. Walk in the will of God
  3. Continue to grow in the will of God
  4. Mature, advance and develop in the will of God
  5. Do the will of God.

There are two types of Christians, those who remain babies in Christ, not growing nor maturing in the things of the spirit while we also have grown up Christians who know, understand and do the elementary or foundational elements of the will of God and proceed to higher understanding hereby growing and maturing to measures of the (stature) of Christ who is our choice example in walking in the spirit. These have their senses exercised by knowing and walking like Christ.

“We have much to say about this topic although it is difficult to explain, because you have become too dull and sluggish to understand. For you should already be professors instructing others by now; but instead, you need to be taught from the beginning the basics of God’s prophetic oracles! You’re like children still needing milk and not yet ready to digest solid food. For every spiritual infant who lives on milk is not yet pierced by the revelation of righteousness. But solid food is for the mature, whose spiritual senses perceive heavenly matters. And they have been adequately trained by what they have experienced to emerge with understanding of the difference between what is truly excellent and what is evil and harmful” Heb. 5:11-14

Many Christians live and die without stepping foot in to the full phase of God’s plan or will for them. They got to a realm in life and plateaued or better still stagnated because they could not pay the price to move up higher in the WILL of the Lord for their lives. They remain babies spiritually speaking, weak and tender, refusing to grow into maturity in the knowledge and the doing of what God ordains for those who are mature and complete.

But Colossians 4:12 stated that we should be different! We should stand perfect and complete in all the will of God for us! We should continue to look at the perfect law of liberty and use it to establish ourselves in the Lord and grow into the image and likeness of God.

This important matter is released in what Epaphras was engaged in, he was laboring fervently in prayer for the people under him, he was praying and very likely teaching them the ways to walk fully in obedience to the will of God so that they can become matured, perfect, entire and lacking nothing in their pursuit of knowing and doing the will of God.

Growing and Maturing in The Will of God could be considered as an Epaphras labour for the Body of Christ in this generation and the coming generations. It is a prophetic labour with the purpose of bringing those who are called of God into knowing, understanding and growing in the will of God until they become mature in the understanding of God’s will. One of the most important need for the present Church is understanding what the will of God is for every life, family, society, nation and Christian community.

I shall continue to have you in my prayers that you may grow and mature, standing complete and perfect in the beauty of God’s plan for your lives.
