God created us as sons and daughters, who are to love, serve and worship Him with our body soul and spirit. He does not want to share us with any other for He is a jealous God. Anything short of this takes away our attention from him, bringing us into divided devotion and loyalties. God want to have us as His beloved adopted children but we also must have passionate zeal to love and serve Him in an acceptable fashion. Nothing must contend with His love else we will yield to idolatry and become a prostitute.

God is for us with a great deal of ardor but He will willingly give us up if we switch over to pour our love on His creation instead of on Him. Sometimes our adoration of God shifts, we do not glorify Him as God, neither are we thankful for His goodness and mercy; we become vain in our imagination, holding the truth in unrighteousness and have our hearts darkened; such behavioral pattern is also idolatry and prostitution!

“The LORD said also unto me in the days of Josiah the king, Hast thou seen that which backsliding Israel hath done? She is gone up upon every high mountain and under every green tree, and there hath played the harlot. And I said after she had done all these things, Turn thou unto me. But she returned not. And her treacherous sister Judah saw it. And I saw, when for all the causes whereby backsliding Israel committed adultery I had put her away, and given her a bill of divorce; yet her treacherous sister Judah feared not, but went and played the harlot also. And it came to pass through the lightness of her whoredom, that she defiled the land, and committed adultery with stones and with stocks. And yet for all this her treacherous sister Judah hath not turned unto me with her whole heart, but feignedly, saith the LORD. Jer. 3:6-10

Some in the body of Christ are given over to filthiness or uncleanliness. They dishonor their bodies and are given over to the lust of their hearts. This makes them to negate focus and service to their maker. This is sin, prostitution, disloyalty and idolatry or obsession with the creation instead of true love and service to God the creator. We are created to love and diligently seek, worship and serve God only!

Webster dictionary describes prostitution as “To give up to any vile or infamous purpose; to devote to anything base; to sell to wickedness; as, to prostitute talents to the propagation of infidel principles, to prostitute the press to the publication of blasphemy. It is to offer or expose upon vile terms or to unworthy persons”.

It is the unworthy or corrupt use of one’s talents or gifts for personal or financial gain hereby negating God’s ordained use of it.

The body of Christ became business ventures and stumbled from the path of righteousness looking for unjust gain, power, substitute god, promotion of self and denominationalism; and building personal empires. They swerved into prostitution. The Church does not love God genuinely as before and God has now become a means to an end. We are selling over our precious souls to the devil because of the morsel of earthly gratifications.

“Thus saith the LORD, What iniquity have your fathers found in me, that they are gone far from me, and have walked after vanity, and are become vain? Neither said they, Where is the LORD that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, that led us through the wilderness, through a land of deserts and of pits, through a land of drought, and of the shadow of death, through a land that no man passed through, and where no man dwelt? And I brought you into a plentiful country, to eat the fruit thereof and the goodness thereof; but when ye entered, ye defiled my land, and made mine heritage an abomination. The priests said not, Where is the LORD? and they that handle the law knew me not: the pastors also transgressed against me, and the prophets prophesied by Baal, and walked after things that do not profit. Wherefore I will yet plead with you, saith the LORD, and with your children’s children will I plead. For pass over the isles of Chittim, and see; and send unto Kedar, and consider diligently, and see if there be such a thing. Hath a nation changed their gods, which are yet no gods? but my people have changed their glory for that which doth not profit. Be astonished, O ye heavens, at this, and be horribly afraid, be ye very desolate, saith the LORD. For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water” – Jer. 2:5-13

The Bible was written to people who will understand the concepts of knowledge, belief, and faith apart from experience but the present day Church experiment and walk in spiritual matters based on natural knowledge and world belief system. They believe that the Church should be considered successful based on accumulation of wealth, outward piousness, gigantic edifice, accumulation of hectares of land, being like the “Jones” [other churches genuinely called by God to do what we have copycatted] who have Universities, having a large congregational size, and television ministry.

God only consider what fruit we are bearing. We had been given talents for the work and He requires that we multiply these by bringing souls into the kingdom and making ready a people fit for the Kingdom of heaven. Satan has crept into the household of faith and continually draws out many firebrand saints to switch over to the world where they are guaranteed fame, money and glory. How many Choir leaders and anointed singers have crossed over to singing worldly music and making it “so to speak” because a son of belial beguile them by showing them the financial and fame opportunities available on the other side of the fence [though it genders to spiritual incarceration].
