“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, in the life and ministry of the Lord Jesus Christ” – Luke 4:18 KJV

In Christ dwells the fullness of the Godhead and from His fullness we have all received the very nature of the Godhead and grace upon grace. The above scripture is not only true for the Lord Jesus Christ but for as many as are called and ordained of God, whether clergy or laity. First, we have the ministry of reconciliation; to reconcile man back to God. Second, we have the ministry of healing; to heal the broken hearted and those sick in their physical bodies. And then, we have the ministry of deliverance; to deliver those held bound, oppressed, harassed and repressed by the devil [ Isaiah 61:1-3]
