The wonderful Garden of Eden in our days is a spiritual location that must be understudied and understood for God’s intentions for creation, our role in the world, and the hope of eternal blessing to be unravelled. By word and deed, God revealed in Eden, both his love and justice toward humanity. First, there was peace, provision and abundance; then there was judgment and a promise of restoration, all under the Lord’s authority and wisdom.
Eden means paradise, beautiful place, pleasure or delight! God created man and put him in a spot, for a moment, where the Presence of God was an open door to heaven.
“…Surely the LORD is in this place; and I knew it not. And he was afraid, and said, How dreadful is this place! This is none other but the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven” Gen 28:16-17
The Garden of Eden is a mysterious place filled with the bounties of God and it will take the understanding of mysteries, revelation knowledge and wisdom to understand this place of God’s Presence and unbelievable connectivity with the Throne Room of Grace. Jacob encountered such and declared that it is the gateway to heaven.
The Garden of Eden is a miniature replica of the Paradise of God in heaven, it is there that God meant to reflect the same relationship, association and communion with the man that He created in His own image and likeness [Genesis 1:26-29].
It is there that God want to continuously fellowship with man that He created in His image and likeness and to make man the authorized delegated authority or ambassador on planet Earth.
